Good Intentions

I've always thought that I really should write or journal my thoughts and impressions of books that I've read. Typically though, rather than do this, when I finish a book I reward myself with a visit to my overflowing shelf of 'to read' books and pick out the next title. So, in the spirit of good intentions, I've created this blog to act as a virtual [anyone else notice that the 'v' word has become a little bit passe of late?] journal to record my rants and raves. And being the outspoken pessimistic misanthrope that I am, the scales will be tipped to the ranting side of things.

And for anyone that is interested, here's my amazon wish list. These are books that I've heard or read about, and that I want to keep on my radar for sometime in the distant future when I might actually have time to read them.
